Material Introduction:
The high chromium steel rolls are produced by using high chromium steel as the working layer material and ductile iron as the core material, through the centrifugal composite casting process. The chromium content in the working layer material is 8-15%, the carbon content is 1.0-1.8%, and it also contains alloy elements such as molybdenum, nickel and vanadium. Through reasonable chemical composition matching and normalizing + reheat heat treatment, the final matrix structure can be controlled as tempered martensite, tempered sorbite, fine needle-like bainite, etc., along with a certain amount of discontinuous fine M7C3 type carbides. The rich chromium matrix structure and fine carbides enable high chromium steel rolls to have excellent resistance to thermal cracking and wear resistance. They perform particularly well in hot rolled strip continuous rolling and roughing machine frames.
